Moulton Mill is a preserved windmill, situated between Spalding and Holbeach in the Fens. 9 storeys high, it is minus its 'sweeps' (sails) which were destroyed in a storm over a hundred years ago. It is otherwise in running order and sufficient funds are now at hand for restoration of the sweeps. Part of the restoration fundraising programme has including a Meccano Show held in mid October both on 2 floors of the mill and in the exhibition room. Although space is somewhat tight, it is a most interesting venue with a welcoming staff, and an excellent pub across the road adds to.the attraction. Rapidly becoming a firm favourite with the 'usual suspects' involved! Come and join us.

The Museum of Lincolnshire Life is a Victorian Barracks situated on Burton Road in Uphill Lincoln. It contains a fascinating selection of industrial, domestic, educational, military and civil artefacts and is a thriving and most interesting place to explore. Of particular interest to modellers are the preserved WW1 Fosters Tank, vintage, veteran and antique machinery of all descriptions and the steam excavators parked on the old parade ground - now grassed over. This looks like becoming a regular date.
